Aluma CEO Appointed to NCS4’s National Advisory Board

We’re proud to share that Akmal Ali, Founder and CEO of Aluma, has been appointed to the National Advisory Board of the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4), the leading national organization dedicated to improving safety and security at sporting and entertainment events.

Based at the University of Southern Mississippi, NCS4 brings together professionals from government, industry, and academia to develop best practices, training programs, and policy guidance for venue and event security. The National Advisory Board provides strategic direction for the Center’s work and includes senior security leaders from some of the most prominent organizations in the world, such as the NFL, NBA, Disney, NASCAR, FIFA, and Live Nation.

Akmal’s appointment is both an honor and a meaningful affirmation of the expertise that drives Aluma’s work every day. “It’s incredibly humbling to be asked to serve alongside so many respected leaders in the space,” Akmal said. “NCS4 plays a critical role in advancing event security, and I’m excited to contribute to that mission, especially at a time when threats are evolving and the stakes for venues and organizers continue to grow.”

This appointment also represents a meaningful opportunity to listen, collaborate, and contribute to the broader dialogue around safety and security in sports and entertainment. By engaging with peers from across the industry, Akmal looks forward to helping advance thoughtful, forward-looking strategies that support safer experiences for fans, staff, and performers alike.
