We’re proud to share that Akmal Ali, Founder & CEO of Aluma, recently participated as a featured speaker at the inaugural Utah Security Alliance Meeting, held on November 17, 2025, at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The event brought together leaders from across the public and private sectors to support the launch of the Utah Security Alliance - a collaborative initiative led by Smith Entertainment Group, the Utah Jazz, Utah Mammoth, and key stakeholders throughout the Salt Lake City and greater Utah community focused on strengthening coordination, information sharing, and security preparedness.
As part of the opening ceremony for the inaugural Utah Security Alliance Meeting, Akmal participated in a keynote fireside chat alongside the following esteemed colleagues:
• Blake Paris - Senior Vice President, Security, Smith Entertainment Group
• Beau Mason - Commissioner, Utah Department of Public Safety
• Brian Redd - Chief of Police, Salt Lake City Police Department
The discussion focused on the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing security strategies, improving operational coordination, and preparing for the increasingly complex threat landscape facing public assembly venues and critical infrastructure.
As part of the discussion, Akmal shared perspectives shaped by his experience supporting sports and entertainment organizations across the country, emphasizing the importance of building security programs that are operationally mature, collaborative, and sustainable over the long term.
