The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS⁴) has named Akmal Ali, Founder and CEO of inOrbit and Aluma, as the 2025 Technology Alliance Member of the Year. This award recognizes a member of the Sports and Entertainment Technology Alliance who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing research and training that address critical industry needs in sports safety and security.
The Sports and Entertainment Technology Alliance is a program of NCS⁴ that brings together leading technology companies to support the development and adoption of solutions that enhance safety and security operations at stadiums, arenas, and other public venues. As an Alliance member, Akmal has actively contributed insights and thought leadership on the integration of risk management practices and digital tools that strengthen security programs and improve operational resilience.
NCS⁴, based at the University of Southern Mississippi, is the nation’s only academic center devoted to the study and practice of sports safety and security. It serves as a key resource for professional sports leagues, venue operators, and public safety officials seeking guidance on best practices, policy development, and technological innovation.
Akmal will be formally recognized during the Awards Luncheon at the 16th Annual National Sports Safety and Security Conference & Exhibition, which will take place June 30 - July 2 in San Antonio, Texas.
